We found an old topographic survey in Dad’s map trunk with the original Bordertown Farm name for the property. We had an ah ha moment!

Vermont winters can be long and the growing season can be short, especially this year! That is why we decided to invest
in this adorable little 12 x 16 greenhouse. So cute! We placed it next to our Pole Barn so we can keep an eye on our sprouting hemp plants while
sitting in our office. We will cheer them on every day.
The cold Vermont weather has come to an end and spring/summer finally feels like it is here to stay. Exciting to see the green house going up!
Dorothy and Jonathan are a mother and son family business.
The greenhouse went up in one day. What a team! http://www.duckyhydroponics.com/

On April 15th we measured out our first acre for the hemp crop this year – Jared said he could plow it with a 1936 one bottom mould board.
YES he did it!
These two storage tanks will hold water from our farm's natural spring. This water will be used for field irrigation this summer.
This is the first half of our hemp seeds that we ordered from Boring Hemp Company in Oregon.
On May 3rd we planted 750 germinated seeds. Every day we can see the progress of our seedlings. We are so proud of them.
Jared pays close attention to each of these seedlings. Lots of TLC!
Getting ready to hang our signs on our hemp acre.
Need we say more?
Thank you Billy Strauss for this POV.

Water from our natural spring has been directed to our acre of hemp.
We are ready for long hot days this summer. This system drips half

Hilary gives each Hemp plant the same attention.
For thousands of years, ancient civilizations have utilized the power of crystals. So we are planting crystal power to support our Hemp plants.
The natural spring on the field is doing its job.
Both 1500 gallon tanks fill up with fresh, cool water - even during the 90 degree heat wave last week.
The water pools in the tanks and then is directed to quench the thirst of the Hemp plant's.
Jay designed the irrigation system specifically for their needs.
He is happy the Hemp plants are getting the water they need to grow.
A little bit of Mother Nature magic inside.
We are so lucky to have this cool spring water running. And excited to have harnessed it to help support our acre of Hemp.
The sound of water dribbling into
the old Spring House is meditative.
Couldn't have done it without Joe and Kirk's help this weekend! Thank you for helping us get the last few posts in the ground.
Took a lot of muscle and determination. Great job Jay! Thanks for the help Joe and Kirk!
Every day Hilary and Jay are in the filed making sure each plant is getting exactly what it needs.
There are those things that make your life just a bit nicer when in the field for hours at time. Love my red boots!
Every day they grow bigger and bushier. All from a little seed!
Honey spiked with CBD what could be better. These bees are doing all the work.
How many bees hives did he bring?
There is room for everyone on our acre of hemp.
Things to do for next year's crop...the list is growing. We have learned so much!
