This is how we roll.

Our big purchase this year was a trans-planter with tray racks and fertilizer/water tanks. It takes 3: one driving the tractor at a straight steady speed and two people sitting in the chairs carefully removing each hemp plant from its planting cup. Holes are made every four feet by the rolling water wheel system and filled with fertilized water so each hemp plant can sit pretty. We aim for a speed that will not break the rhythm of the team. Sometimes whoever is driving will speed things up a bit at the dismay of those in the chairs and all you can hear is "SLOW DOWN" and the driver will have a chuckle. Someone has to keep the team on their toes.
When we are lucky we have someone following behind with a rake to cover the hose and the root system which is most productive. Sometimes, it takes the three, the two, or the one of us to do that job as well. You got to do what you got to do.
It took us three days to get the hemp in the ground. It was hot and the ground was really dry but on the last day, the skies opened up and gave the field a good soaking. Now we stand with hands-on our hips keeping watch over our two organic acres. Every morning we do our walkthrough to inspect and encourage each hemp plant. But we did it! Out of the greenhouse and in the ground! Done and done!
